| Bookshare provides an online library of accessible reading materials for people with print disabilities. Through an award from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), Bookshare offers free memberships to U.S. schools and qualifying U.S. students. Individuals can sign up for membership and access the library on their own. | The Center’s mission is to provide technical assistance to states and districts and to build the capacity of states to assist districts in implementing proven models for Response to Intervention and Early Intervening Services.The Center's work is organized into four service areas:
1. Knowledge production activities that include a technical review to determine which tools, practices, and implementation strategies are deemed scientifically valid and appropriate for TA&D; 2. Expert trainings and follow-up activities (both face-to-face and at a distance) to drive implementation supports for RTI/EIS on a broad scale; 3. Information dissemination activities that will involve forming partnerships and reaching out to target stakeholders via ongoing communication, including web-based telecommunication; and 4. Evaluation, with formative assessments to help improve the delivery of services in states and districts across the country.
