Welcome to OSEP's Grants Info Online!

Introduction

The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) at the U.S. Department of Education is dedicated to improving results for infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities ages birth through 21. To this end, OSEP provides leadership and financial support to assist states and local districts, including funding approximately 1,000 grants and contracts.

If you'd like to know what grants and contracts OSEP has funded as part of its initiatives to improve results for children with disabilities, you've come to the right place! (If you're looking for OSEP's grants opportunities, we would direct you to OSEP itself, at: www.ed.gov/fund/grant/apply/osep/index.html)

NICHCY is pleased to offer complete listings of OSEP's grants and contracts through the SEARCH feature and in print (as PDF files), as described below.

Online Grants SEARCH

The SEARCH feature offers you three ways to find projects and grants of interest:

  • by drop-down menu (you select the state, disability, age of children, or type of competition you're interested in);
  • by specific information (you enter the grant number, organization, project title, or project director);
  • by keyword
  • .

Pick your approach, and fruitful searching!

1—Search by Drop-Down Menu

Use these drop-down menus one at a time to search by various categories. Note: You can only search by only one drop-down menu at a time, and a selection in the drop-down box will override any content in the free-form text entry box below.

State:

Disability:

Age of Children:

Type of Competition:

2—Search by Specific Information

Here's a second alternative for searching. Use any one of the boxes below to search for specific kinds of information—such as the name of the organization operating a grant, the grant number, or the project director's name. We give you hints beside each to help you frame the search term.

Grant Number search:
  Example: H326N030003 or 328C
Organization search:
  Example: "Academy for Educational Development" or Academy
Project Title search:
  Example: Dissemination or "National Dissemination Center" or "Access Center"
Project Director search:
  Example: Ripley
Suggestion: Use only the Project Director's last name.

3—Keyword Search

To find what projects OSEP is currently funding in a specific area, enter a keyword in the box below. For instance, if you’re interested in finding projects focused on autism or leadership, simply enter either word. If you use a phrase, put the phrase in quotes--for example, “learning disabilities.”
