Tambien provee informacion sobre como tratar las necesidades especiales de un nino con retraso mental. Una lista de libros y organizaciones se provee al final del documento. Esta publicacion tambien esta disponible en ingles.
 
 
 
 The fact sheet presents an overview of mental retardation -- characteristics and symptoms, how common mental retardation are, and educational implications. Tips are given to parents and teachers for addressing the special needs of a child with mental retardation. The fact sheet concludes with a list of helpful books and organizations. Also available in English.
